Organizing Chargers and Cables
I realized not too long ago that I had an entire desk drawer devoted to the various chargers and synchronization cables for the family’s various electronic devices. Even worse, I always had to try and figure out which cable went with which device!
I decided to organize the mess. First thing is I pulled every cord and charger out. I put them in groups depending on device, and the unidentified ones were identified (identification was the longest part of the process!)
Next I gathered each individual cord into an appropriate-sized zipper bag and made a label for it. I had originally written on the bag, but this was hard to see.
All packaged cords were put in a box labeled “Cords and Chargers” and put on a shelf in our shared office. The result: an empty desk drawer, and the ability to put my hands on the correct cable when I needed it.
