Gadgets We Like: Multi-Point Pen
What Are Multi-point Pens?
Multi-point pens have been around for years, lurking around in supplies as the four-color pens. As these devices have evolved, they have included not just ink, but pencils, styluses and highlighters.
Why We Like Them
In the current generation, a multi-point pen can allow you to carry one item with multiple functionality. I carry one in my purse, so that no matter what sort of writing instrument I need, it is available. No more searching for a pencil or highlighter and coming up only with a dried-out pen.
I also use the stylus quite frequently. When I have large amounts of writing to do on my PDA, I prefer the grip of the multi-point to the thin stylus that lives on the side of my PDA.
Where To Get Them
There are many different versions of the multi-point. Here are some of the ones I found:
- The one that I use is the Paper Mate PhD Multi Multipurpose Writing Instrument (aff). It is refillable, has an eraser built in, and uses the position of the barrel to determine which
- The Avery Tripleclick Multipurpose Writing Instrument
(aff) gives you a choice of pencil or stylus, but has a more rugged grip.
- The Fisher Bullet Stylus Chrome Multi-Point Pen
(aff) gives you the pressurized ink of the Fisher pen with the stylus combination.
