Five Ways to Simplify Cleaning Your Bathroom
There is so much information out there on how to clean things. Everyone has their ideas on how to clean, but the fact is that most of these methods require special cleaning implements or fluids and a very specific way to clean.
In this post, I am going to give you 5 ways to simplify cleaning your bathroom. You might be surprised at how easy it is.
#1: Clean It Often
It is much more effort to clean a bathroom when it looks dirty, than to do a little bit each day or week, rather than when it looks dirty. Almost every day, I spritz the mirror, sink, faucet and counter top with window cleaner and wipe it up with paper towels or rags I keep under the sink. It’s amazing how quickly this goes, and I never have to chip petrified toothpaste out of the sink.
#2: Use Simple Products
Chemical firms spend millions of dollars to convince you that the latest product they have will clean the bathroom for you. Usually they don’t work, and can leave you gasping for breath. My bathroom cleaning supplies consist of window cleaner, liquid soap, disinfecting wipes, and a good scrub brush. If I keep up with it (see #1), I don’t need anything more.
#3: Clean the Toilet with Soap
I have never met a toilet cleaner that worked better than liquid soap. Currently I use a lovely smelling liquid soap someone gave me that make my skin flakes. It does wonders on water rings, though! I use a disinfecting wipe on the outside of the toilet and the seat to keep germs at bay.
#4: Keep Your Supplies Handy
If I had to truck downstairs every time I wanted to clean the bathroom, it wouldn’t get done. I keep everything I need under the sink, and I am ready to go.
#5: Keep a Basket on the Vanity
If your sink area is piled high with tubes and bottles, try getting a basket to put them in. After getting rid of anything you don’t use, the remaining products will be very easy to move for cleaning if they are confined to a basket.
